NESCAFE frappé CLASSIC 200gr GR
NESCAFE frappé CLASSIC 200gr GR
Did you know that frappe was accidentally invented by a Nescafe representative named Dimitris Vakondios at the 1957 Thessaloniki International Fair? At the fair, Nestlé introduced a new chocolate drink for children that was made directly in a shaker. During a break, Dimitris wanted his usual Nescafé Classic but couldn’t find any hot water, so he mixed coffee with cold water in a shaker. Thanks to Dimitris for that.
A frappe is usually served based on three different levels of sweetness:
- Skétos (black) - two teaspoons of coffee without sugar
- Métrios (medium) - two teaspoons of coffee with two teaspoons of sugar
- Glykós (sweet) - two teaspoons of coffee with four teaspoons of sugar
And it’s actually really easy to make a really good frappe yourself!
Make your own frappe/iced coffee quickly and easily - Ingredients and recipe for 1 glass frappe coffee
- 2 teaspoons of instant coffee
- Granulated sugar (can be omitted if you don't want sugar)
- 2 tablespoons of cold water
- 4 ice cubes
- Water
- Milk (can be omitted if you don't want milk)
Preparation
Mix the coffee, granulated sugar (if you want) and two tablespoons of cold water in a blender or shaker. If you use a shaker, shake well. Put the ice cubes in a glass, pour over the frothed coffee and top up with water and milk according to the desired amount. Milk can be omitted completely if you prefer coffee without milk. Now all you have to do is enjoy your iced coffee/frappe!
