Unlike most olives, Throuba olives ripen naturally on the tree, where they gradually lose much of their natural bitterness before harvesting. This unique process gives them their characteristic wrinkled appearance, soft texture and wonderfully rich, mellow flavour with pleasantly bitter and savoury notes.

Dark, intensely flavourful and full of Mediterranean character, Throuba Thasou olives are delicious served simply as part of a mezze, alongside cheese and freshly baked bread, in salads, or enjoyed with a glass of wine.
