Our “Olives for Heroes” with a completely different character!

These exceptional plum olives from the Peloponnese, locally known as Gaidouroelies (“donkey olives”), are famous for their impressive size, rich flesh and distinctive flavour.

In this traditional preparation, the olives are gently oven-baked with just a little salt, giving them their characteristic wrinkled appearance and concentrating their naturally rich olive flavour. The result is a wonderfully meaty olive with a soft, satisfying texture and a deep, mellow taste – without being overly salty.

Their enormous size makes them as impressive on the table as they are delicious. Enjoy them as a snack on their own, as the star of a Greek mezze platter, or serve them alongside feta, aged cheeses, fresh bread and a glass of wine.
